This site is the brainchild of a lobbyist in Washington, DC who has a serious passion for cooking, eating, and judging.
Anthony Bourdain said it best:
“I do think the idea that basic cooking skills are a virtue, that the ability to feed yourself and a few others with proficiency should be taught to every young man and woman as a fundamental skill, should become as vital to growing up as learning to wipe one’s own ass, cross the street by oneself, or be trusted with money.”
― Anthony Bourdain, Medium Raw: A Bloody Valentine to the World of Food and the People Who Cook
Assuming you all can wipe your own ass, I hope this site will help with some of the other necessaries one might need to know to adequately feed themselves and heaven forbid others, as well as help guide you through the myriad of DC area restaurants.
I am also the author of Feasting Famously, an interview-style food column published on FamousDC, where I sit down with politicos, bloggers, chefs, and other DC notables to chat about all things food.
The Hungry Lobbyist was recently profiled in The Washington Examiner, Lobbyist Hungry for Culinary Street Cred.
